Here's some stats from the 6 month check up: 26 inches long (25%) and 18.95 lbs (69%).
On a personal note, sometimes life is excrutiatingly uninteresting. Sometimes it is excellent. A lot of people try to make the small things in their lives be much bigger deals than they really are. News flash: they are not. There is no need to create irrelevant conflict. Modern work is unfortunately full of people like this. No matter how unbearable work may be, when I walk through the door and see Desmond, my heart jumps. I can already feel it when I drive home and pass 62nd st. What is funny is that I arrive at his dinnertime, but I can't be within his field of vision when he eats because I distract him too much. I can't talk because he 'looks' for me. I film his little moves and toothless smiles because I want to share the little light that is Desmond with others. The highs and lows of life are different for everyone. I hope the 2 minutes of Desmond uttering gibberish, smiling at my faces, and, above all, laughing makes the lows not seem so dark and the highs that much sweeter.
We'll be posting more videos in a few days, but if you do live back 'home' you can see the little guy in the flesh. As stated in the above stats, there is plenty of flesh to hold.
