Des Entertained the Girards

Desmond was up to his antics for his Girard family. He was a bit of an adventurous spirit so we had to set up a barricade on the porch. They learned what we all learn that once Desmond starts, he doesn't stop.

Des + AJ Playing on the Porch

Des and AJ had lots of fun together. It was tough to deprogram him from having a constant playmate when we got back home. He got over it.

Des Loved the Beach

Desmond really loved the beach. He enjoyed his day there. Hopefully, next trip he gets more beach time, but knowing Maine, the weather will probably never cooperate.

Desmond With Mom and Gramma at the Beach

Really happy scene of Des in the water with Gramma and Mom, as Dad and his friend Dave discuss the mental health profession and its history of odd procedures and awfulness. Dad mentions how the Kennedys lobotimized one of their daughters, and how meds make little boys zombies, which he'd never allow them to do to Desmond. Man, Uncle Dave and Dad get serious even at the beach.

Desmond + AJ Run Around

Desmond and AJ managed to run around like this all week. They didn't break anything, household goods or bones. Lots of giggling and gibberish was shared.

Dad just wanted to document rain showers on the coast. 30 seconds.

It was piñata time. They let the babies each take a swing. Meg's carrying Desmond for this.

Desmond Goes to the Water with Mom and Gramma

Desmond knows no fear. Desmond walks towards the waves. Desmond does realize water can be cold. Notice Gramma cleans the flip flops int he ocean to then throw them onto the sand and sea weed. Because sand + sea weed = clean. C'mon Gramma.

Sunset Trip to Beach

Sound is muffled due to ocean breeze. This was our Saturday evening trip to the beach.

Pepere Landry Gets Desmond Laughing

The first Saturday there Pepere was over for dinner. He had some fun with Desmond when Desmond was a captive in the high chair. Desmond has a good sense of humor and is always willing to laugh.

Airport Desmond

Desmond was a super trooper when we flew to Maine. He was a perfect angel. He entertained people, played with Dad and stayed awake the entire time. Dad decided to film just 1 minute of his behavior for all the world to see.

Desmond at the Beach

Desmond was pretty excited at the beach. He really enjoyed running around in the sand and playing in the shallows. AJ remained up on the blanket clutching for dear life onto Gramma or Grampa. Maybe next year she'll get the courage to walk on the yucky sand.

Aunt Lois steals some puffs from Desmond. Desmond is too puff entranced to care. Puff badger don't care. Dad mentions putting puffs in a bowl with milk as a cereal. It would taste good. We mock Desmond for shoving puffs up his nose. The life of a baby.
