Good Morning!

I'd be lying if I said that Desmond's always this happy in the morning. Some mornings he's really hungry and annoyed that someone hasn't gotten him out of his crib yet. However, the morning i taped this, i got some great audio of him talking to himself when he thought no one was listening!

Peek-A-Boo!

Desmond loves to hide behind the curtains in the family room and then surprise us. He's usually a bit more animated when he does it but he wasn't feeling all that great that day. He also ALMOST walks for the camera but changes his mind!

How Mom Keeps Desmond Occupied When She's Cooking

I tried to keep him out of the tupperware but he's obsessed with it. Plus it keeps him occupied when I'm trying to get stuff done in the kitchen. He can't rip it out of the cabinet fast enough!

Desmond Speaks His Own Language

Plenty of gibberish in this one. Although he does not really say any real words, he undertands plenty and has phrases that he uses often. "whasdis" is a frequent one hilighted in this video. who know what it means! Desmond also makes is "oooh" face frequently.

Free Standing

Desmond can stand for several seconds (and take 4-5 steps) on his own. However, he usually chooses to crawl (it's still faster you know!). here is a small taste of his new skills.

Rocking And Singing In Dad's Old Cowboys Jersey

Desmond was really rocking and "singing" before we took out the camera. Of course one we started filming him, he stopped doing it quite so much. He's also modeling dad's old cowboys jersey in this one.

Knocking Over Blocks

Desmond is now at the age where he thinks that knocking over blocks is hilarious! This is the last video taken of Desmond before his haircut. He got it cut for the first time at the beginning of December. I waited as long as possible before bringing him back for a second cut since he's not really a fan of the whole ordeal. However, you'll notice that it had gotten pretty long and out of control by this point!

Desmond Chases Mom

It's hard for mom to video Desmond. When ever she tries, he just wants her top pick him up or to climb all over her. This video is a good example of that.

Desmond Figures Out His Workbench

Mom picked this up for Desmond back in September. He has finally figured out to hit, not spin the buttons and how to pull the lever down! As a side note, you can tell that mom was not home because Desmond'd hair is a total mess and he stands on a chair. The boys have fun when mom isn't home!

When I stopped putting Desmond in the baby swing, he figured out this little trick to help comfort himself. He makes the noise with it a few times. This is what he does to put himself to sleep or if he wakes up in the middle of the night.
