I found that Desmond really prefers to be facing outwards in the front carrier. as another side note, you can check out our new washer and dryer behind me.

i put this wrist rattle on Desomond's wrist when he first started discovering that his hands are in fact attached to him and that he can move them. he fell asleep and i forgot it was there. as a side note, he's now opening his hand a lot more and is really trying very hard to suck his thumb......

Aunt Katie Visits!

Aunt Katie visited Desmond a few weeks ago! The two got along quite well!

The Archie Bunker Chair

Desmond has an "Archie Bunker" chair of his own now! He only stays in it for a little while since he is still on the small side for it!

Desmond Puts Up His Dukes

Desmond is learning to put up his dukes and get ready for a brawl. He has moved away from doing his arms up victory pose, and now focuses on putting his dukes up in order to do battle. Who knows, he may progress from putting his dukes up to declaring victory in one quick move?

Peekaboo with Mom

Desmond was enjoying peekaboo with Mom. He gets some big smiles in, and eventually finds the camera. The boy knows a video camera like his cousin AJ knows a regular camera.

Desmond Trying to Stay up Until Midnight

Desmond was hanging out with Dad and Katie, trying desperately to make it to midnight. Not yet Desmond!

Feeding Desmond

Sadly I'm no longer nursing Desmond (I couldn't keep up w/ his huge appetite - at 2.5mons he was eating 5-6oz a feeding and eating 7 times a day!) I try to snuggle with him as much as possible with him when he gets his bottle (which he has thankfully always taken from me!)

This winter hat is actually listed as a newborn size. For the record, Desmond's head is on the small side (18th percentile). HOWEVER, this hat was CLEARLY mis-sized. He was not too happy and judging by his face, I think that he knew were laughing at him. Don't worry, I took the hat off after we took the picture!!!!

Desmond and Dad Discuss TV Show Possibilities

Desmond and Dad discuss life if it were just the two of them. Sitcom? Reality Show? I like the idea of being on a show with him in a little kid tuxedo. Killer.

We had an unseasonally cold day a few weeks ago so desmond got to wear this hat and jacket that were too big for him before. i don't think he was too impressed with the get up and mom and mem thought that he was super cute!

he's a growin'

Desmond has really grown quite a bit since birth. He had gained about six pounds since birth and grown two inches. I put away all of his newborn clothes last night and looked at his first sleep sack in comparison to his new one (he is on sleep sack #3). This really shows how much he has grown in his 11 weeks here on earth!

ps. he was so little that the first one was a preeemie size!
